April Lynn Allmon

Amsterdam – April Lynn Allmon passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 18th, 2020 at the age of 39. April was born in Oak Ridge, Tennesee, the daughter of Karen L. (Decker) Allmon and John R. Allmon Jr. April was a graduate of Ballston Spa High School and attended Allegheny College. She worked at St. Peter’s Hospital as an administrative assistant. April loved sports and was a diehard Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins fan. She was also a gifted pool player. Due to April’s kind spirit and love for animals, she was always known for rescuing any animal in need, which is how she acquired her 3 cats and rabbit. April also loved to cook and could whip up anything and everything. April leaves behind to cherish her memory, her mother, Karen L. Allmon, her father and step-mother, John R. Allmon Jr (Sheryl), her life partner, Luke C. Rogers, her daughter, Leigha Altieri, her siblings, Amber Allmon and Tyler Zubal as well as many dear relatives, friends and her beloved pets. Due to social distancing regulations, services for April will be held privately with a celebration of her life to take place over the summer.
