Rotterdam- Antonio (Tony) Rea, 89, of Rotterdam passed away peacefully on November 2,2015 surrounded by his lovinghis family. Born in Fontechiari, Italy on March 26 ,1926 a son of the late Dominico and Concetta FerreraRea. He married his beloved wife Antoinette Benacquista on July 1 1950. Mrs. Rea passed away on March 13 2011. Until his retirement in 1994 Antonio was a supervisor in the engineering department at the former St Clare's Hospital. Antonio was a communicant of Our Lady of Queen of Peace Church. His family lovingly remembers him as a hardworking , devoted husband, father and grandfather. He adored his grandchildren and cherished every moment spent with his family.Heloved gardening and making wine and took joy in making his family laugh. He is survivedby three daughters JosephineErrichetto of Duanesburg, Linda (Steve) Sung of Queensbury and Rita (David) Warner of Rotterdam. He also leaves behind 5 grandchildren Donald Errichetto of Minnesota, Rachel and Rebecca Sung of Queensbury, and Alexander and Matthew Warner of Rotterdam and two great grandsons Eric and Aidan Errichetto and many belovednieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call at the DeMarco Stone Funeral Home Inc 1605 Helderberg Ave Rotterdam on Saturday November 7, 2015 from 8am to 10 am. Immediately following a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church Princetown Road Rotterdam at 10:30 am. Entombment will follow at Schenectady Memorial Park Gifford Church Road Rotterdam. Memorial donations maybe made to St Jude's Research Hospital 501 St Jude Place Memphis TN 38105.
