Rotterdam - Antonietta Ceniviva, 82, of Rotterdam, passed away Thursday February 20, 2014 after a brief illness. Born in Pianopoli, Italy, she was the daughter of Francesco and Vincenza Gallo Rotundo. Antonietta came to the United States with her husband in 1967. She was a cook for the Silver Haven Nursing Home in Rotterdam for 18 years before retiring. Antonietta cherished spending time with her family and enjoyed trips to Florida to visit her son, Frank. Along with cooking and baking, she enjoyed gardening, knitting and crocheting. Antonietta was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Her husband of 54 years, Francesco "Frank" Ceniviva, passed away in 2003. She is survived by two sons; Anthony (Jean) Ceniviva of Rotterdam and Frank Ceniviva of Clearwater, FL. Her daughter; Maria (Vincent) Pitucci of Rotterdam. Her sister; Tommasina (Anthony) Bernardi of Rotterdam. Her sister-in-law; Theresa Rotundo of Canton, OH. Five grandchildren; Anna (Shawn) Bogusky of Rotterdam, John Pitucci and Jessica Ceniviva both of Rotterdam, Latosha (Tom) Hammond and Alicia Dagliolo both of Florida. Three great grandchildren; Michael and Sabrina Bogusky and Jaedyn Hammond. Antonietta is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents she was predeceased by her brother, Arturo Rotundo. The family would like to thank the staffs at Ellis Hospital and the Manor at Guilderland Center for their care and support. A calling hour will held Tuesday from 9:30-10:30 am at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam followed by a 11 am Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Entombment will follow at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Antonietta's memory to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
