Antonette A. Mykolaitis

December 4, 1949 — October 29, 2024

Guilderland – Antonette A. Mykolaitis, 74, passed away peacefully on Tuesday October 29, 2024 after courageously battling Pancreatic Cancer for many months.

Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of Luigi and Angela (Polsinelli) Serafini.  Antonette was a graduate of Niskayuna High School. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Education from the State University of New York at Oneonta.  After graduation, Antonette met and married Victor Mykolaitis, started their family and moved to Guilderland, NY.

After her children were grown, Antonette worked at her family's business, Serafini Builders, carrying out various administrative duties.  Antonette loved being around family and was always up for any gathering or party. Traveling to Maine each summer with the family was one of Antonette’s favorite traditions.  She and Vic also enjoyed attending their grandchildrens' activities, especially the baseball and softball games, and celebrating all of their various milestones and accomplishments along the way.  She always looked forward to spending time with her walking group in the neighborhood.  She enjoyed card stamping and loved to shop.  Being the genuine person that she was, Antonette was always spreading her positivity and complimenting others.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Victor A. Mykolaitis. Two daughters Suzanne (Josh) Plue and Angela (Josh) Jones, both of Guilderland. Her four grandchildren Nicholas and Alyssa Plue, Evan and Andrew Jones. Brothers Angelo (Maureen) Serafini of Guilderland and Rocco (Ann) Serafini of Niskayuna.  Sister Philomena Husko. Her brother and sister-in-law Raymond (Mary) Mykolaitis of Hazlet, New Jersey.  Antonette also leaves behind several loving nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff and devoted caregivers and nurses at the Teresian House for their exceptional care throughout Antonette’s time there.
