Antoinette "Arlene" (Adams) Connell

Schenectady – Antoinette “Arlene” (Adams) Connell, 76, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 9th, 2018 at Ellis Hospital. Arlene was born in Rotterdam, NY to her parents, the late Michael and Victoria (Pasquariello) Adams. She was a graduate of Schalmont High School. On July 8th, 1962 she married her husband, David D. Connell III, with whom she owned Dom Gallo Florist with for many years. Arlene enjoyed the floral business; she was President of the Teleflora Association of the Capital District and was an active member on the committee for the Teleflora shows. Arlene was president of the ladies auxiliary for Bellevue Little League, a member of the Professional Women’s Association and was on the committee for planning her high school reunions which she loved very much. In her spare time, Arlene enjoyed going to the casino and spending family vacations in Cape Cod. Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, David D. Connell III, her loving sons, David (Michele) and Steven (Laura), beloved grandchildren, Cassandra (Benjamin), Steven (Kristal), Kristen and David and one great grandchild, Jordan. She is also survived by her siblings, Barbara (Gary) King, Michael (Linda) Adams and Nick Giordono (late Lucy) as well as many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday evening from 4-8pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday morning at 10am at Our Lady Queen of Peace, 210 Princetown Rd., Rotterdam. Interment will follow at St. Cyril and Method Cemetery. Contributions in Arlene’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements are by R.J. DeLuccia Funeral Service.
