Rotterdam- Anthony DiFulvio, 90 of Rotterdam NY, was called home by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on April 19, 2021. Born in Schenectady, the only child to Roberto and Anna, Tony graduated from Nott Terrace High School, Albany Business College and Alfred University. In 1953, he married the love of his life, Helen Costanzo, and began proudly serving two years with the United States Army 88th Division, stationed in Trieste Italy. Upon his honorable discharge, Tony briefly entered the wholesale candy business and then began his dedicated 34-year career with the NYS Dept. of Taxation and Finance. Never idle on the sidelines, he held integral positions in many organizations including: past member of the Mohonasen Budget Review Committee, past President of the Mohonasen Sports Booster Club, past President of Carman Little League, past Vice Chairman of the Rotterdam Republican Party and past President of the Rotterdam Republican Club. In addition to his civic duties, he loved spending time with his family, cheering for and/or shouting at the NY Giants, and especially being that “favorite uncle” to so many nieces and nephews. Tony was predeceased by Helen, his wife of 66 years, in 2019. He is survived by his children Mike DiFulvio (Debby), and Laurie Wilson. He also leaves behind his loving grandchildren Bobby DiFulvio, Billy DiFulvio and Sierra Wilson. Dittos forever Dad, and… “Il cuore di Sophia Loren è spezzato oggi! Calling hours will be held this Thursday, April 22 from 5pm-7pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. Schenectady, NY. A Funeral Service will take place on Friday, April 23 at 10am at the funeral home. Tony will be laid to rest at Evergreen Memorial Park in Schenectady.
