Anthony J Cavallaro

Anthony Cavallaro, 91, of Rotterdam, passed away at his home on Monday, May 7, 2018. Born in Schenectady, Anthony was the son of the late Angelo and Giuseppina Bonacorsi Cavallaro. He was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School and served in the United States Navy from 1945 to 1946. Anthony was employed as an Administrative Assistant at the Watervliet Arsenal for many years before retiring in 1983. He was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, the Rotterdam Elks and the Rotterdam senior Citizens. Anthony enjoyed spending as much time as he could hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife of 69.5 yrs, Josephine Dascola Cavallaro, his daughter; Andrea (Cliff) Fritzen of Amsterdam, NY, his son: Dr. William (Donna) Cavallaro of Altamont, NY, two grandsons; Eric Fritzen and Nicholas Fritzen, as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be private. Burial will be at St’s Cyril & Method Cemetery.
