Rotterdam - Anthony John Bucci, (known by Tony, to his family and friends) was born on February 20th, 1982 in Niskayuna, NY, to his loving parents. Tony passed away Saturday, February 6th, 2021, in Rotterdam at 38 years young. Tony graduated from Mohonasen High School in Rotterdam. His happiest times were spent with his daughter Sophia, his family and close friends. Tony was a loving person with an infectious smile, a sense of humor that always left you laughing until you were crying, and a caring and compassionate soul that was always there for anyone at anytime. He loved playing a good game of basketball with his brothers and found a true passion in renovating with his brother. Tony had great plans for his life with Sophia. They spent their last night together telling jokes with his nephews Noah and Ethan. His family will carry on his memory, his love of life and his hope for a better tomorrow. Tony is predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Catherine and Richard Quinby, his paternal grandparents, Dr. John T. and Clara Bucci, his nieces, Madison and Adaley Bucci, and his cousin Jeffery VanDercar. Survivors include his daughter Sophia Marie Bucci, his parents, John (Lori) Bucci, Cindy Quinby (James) Lamb;grandparents, Frank (Mary) Lamb; brothers Mike (Amberly) Bucci and Adam (Caitlyn) Bucci; nephews Noah and Ethan Bucci and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends and family are invited to his calling hours on Friday from 5-8 pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. A memorial service will immediately follow beginning at 8 pm. COVID-19 protocols will be followed and masks must be worn.
