Guilderland- Anna R. Tariello, 91, passed away peacefully after a short illness at Albany Medical Center on Monday December 11, 2017. She was born in Colonie, a daughter of the late Emilio and Rose Carpellucci. Anna was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School. Anna worked at GE as a draftsman and at the State of New York OGS as an Electrical Engineer retiring in the late 1980’s. She was a member of the Sweet Adeline Barbershop Chorus for many years. Anna also choreographed and coached several SPEBSQSA (The Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America) choruses in the area helping some win international fame. Anna will be remembered as a dedicated Mother and Grandmother which was demonstrated by her countless hours supporting the hobbies of her children and grandchildren. Anna was on the Board of Directors of the Phyllis Latin Dance Company, designing and sewing costumes for the company her daughter Lesa Hayward and her grandchildren Lauren, Corey and Chelsey were members of. Anna was also a member of the pit crew for her son’s Paul Tariello Formula Ford race team. Her grandchildren will especially remember the “can do” feisty kind of crazy grandma that always put them first. Anna is survived by her daughter Lesa A. Hayward, daughter in law Patricia Tariello, five grandchildren Lauren A. Hayward, Corey E. Hayward, Paul J. Tariello III, Chelsey R. Hayward and Nicholas M. Tariello. She is also survived by two sisters and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents Anna was predeceased by her husband Paul J. Tariello, son Paul J. Tariello Jr and a brother Joseph Carpellucci. Family and friends are invited to call at Guilderland’s DeMarco Stone Funeral Home Inc 5216 Western Turnpike Guilderland on Tuesday December 19, 2017 from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. Funeral services will begin at the funeral home at 11: 30 am. Interment will be in Saratoga National Cemetery Schuyler ville NY on December 19, 2017 at 1:30 pm. The family would like to thank the compassionate caregivers at Albany Medical Center that were so helpful during this difficult time along with the wonderful care she received during her short stay at the Teresian House.
