Anna T. Ross, 95, born on July 18, 1929, passed into eternity on January 1, 2025. She is survived by her children, Cheryl Hollifield of Sarasota, Florida, Donald III (Carol) Ross of Mount Vernon, Washington, Beverly (Daniel) Oakes of Spring Branch, Texas, Emily (Curt) Spath of Buford, Georgia, her grandchildren, Emily Lin (Omar) Syed, Sara Mei (Mohammed) Taitai, Adam (Charlene) Fung , David (Nicole) Ross, Jason (Joanna) Ross, Brittany Edwards and Blake (Erin “Ayra”) Edwards, and her great-grandchildren, Emmett and Amelie Fung, and Greyson and Ethan Ross. She is also survived by her “adopted” grandchildren, Jaime (Timothy) Drew of Clarksville, GA, And Cameron (Riley) Spath of Smyrna, South Carolina, as well as her “adopted“ great-grandchildren, Ava and Liam Drew, and Cayden and Tinsley Spath. She loved them all greatly. She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Donald Jr., her son-in-law, Craig Edwards, and all her siblings.

Anna was born in Wilmington, New York, and grew up on her father and mother‘s silver fox farm with her siblings, Mary, Alder, Jean and Alvin. She began a career as a home economics teacher after completing her studies at Plattsburgh State teachers college and Syracuse University. She married Donald Ross, Jr. in 1952, and dedicated her life to raising her children and enjoying fellowship with her God. She spent many hours writing letters to her relatives and to her many friends all over the world. She was an ace at Scrabble and played with real and virtual opponents.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the American Red Cross. Please visit their website, redcross.org, to download a donation form or directions to donate by phone or text.

Services will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at the DeMarco Stone Funeral Home-Guilderland, at 5216 Western Turnpike in Altamont, New York. Viewing hours will be at 10 AM to 11 AM, with the funeral immediately following at 11 AM. Family-only burial will be at Memory’s Gardens in Colonie. All are invited to a luncheon after the funeral service at Settles Hill Banquet Hall, 721 Old Settles Hill Road, Altamont, NY from Noon to 3 pm.
