Westhampton, NY - Ann T. Lenihan-Concannon passed away peacefully on February 26, 2020 in Long Island. Born in Bronx, New York on March 17, 1934, Ann grew up in Menands, NY and graduated from Cathedral High School. She married Arthur F. Lenihan in 1954 and raised 4 children in North Albany where she was a homemaker. Ann enjoyed raising her children in the Sacred Heart Church and School system. She loved entertaining family and friends, dancing, cooking enormous meals, and celebrating the holidays, especially Christmas. Ann and Art moved to Clifton Park in 1966 to give the family more room to grow. She enjoyed gardening and was an advocate of farm-to-table before it was fashionable, and passed her passion for gardening and cooking on to each of her children and grandchildren. In 1989, Ann and Art moved to Fort Pierce where Ann was active in her community, enjoyed participating in the senior citizens dance club, and was a member of the local Citizens on Patrol. After Art’s passing, Ann met and then married William Concannon in 2000. Ann remained in Florida until 2014 when she moved to Long Island to be closer to her family. Ann was predeceased by her parents, James and Mary (nee Sabatino) Campione, her husbands, Arthur Lenihan and William Concannon as well as her son-in-law, Alan Kisby. She is survived by her four children, James Lenihan, Esq. (Deborah), Sharon Kisby, William Lenihan (Linda Kosnik-Lenihan), and Mariann Cassara (Louis), ten grandchildren, Michelle (Bob Powers) and Michael Buffardi , Nicole Rhoades (Wayne) and Ryan Lenihan (Patricia Rau), Shaun, Matthew and Sydney Lenihan and Conor, Olivia and Aidan Cassara, and three great grandchildren Molly, Claire and Fiona Rhoades, and her uncle Phillip Sabatino. Calling hours will take place on Friday from 3-7pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 5216 Western Tpk., Guilderland. Funeral services will begin on Saturday morning at the funeral home at 9:15am and will be followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10am at St. Madeleine Sophie Parish, 3500 Carman Rd., Guilderland. Burial will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions in Ann’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Northeastern New York, 4 Pine West Plaza, Ste 405, Albany, NY 12205.
