Ann (Cimino) Bradshaw

Rotterdam -Mrs. Ann (Cimino) Bradshaw, age 94, a longtime Rotterdam resident, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, October 11, 2022 at St. Peter's Hospice Inn, Albany, with the love and support of her family at her bedside. Ann was born on Aug. 27, 1928 in Schenectady, NY daughter of the late Giovanni and Catherine (Frizone) Cimino and educated in Schenectady schools. She was united in marriage with James Allen Bradshaw on May 13, 1950 in Schenectady; a loving and blessed union of nearly 50 years until Mr. Bradshaw's passing in November of 1997. Ann worked at the Edgewood Restaurant for several years starting as a young lady which was owned by her sister and operated as a proud family owned business. She also was employed at one time with Golub Corporation for nearly ten years. In the midst of her hard work, she managed to raise her cherished family andchildren. Her last employment was as a home health aide where she took wonderful care of her patients needs. Ann loved to cook, enjoyed reading and found much comfort in her Catholic Faith. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Gabriel's Church of Schenectady her entire life where she taught religion classes for numerous years. She was a member of St. Gabriel's Woman's Society. Her foremost priority was taking care of the needs of her large and loving family. The needs of her loved ones always came first in her life. Survivors include her children, Joanne Russell and the late Garry Russell of Schenectady, James Allen Bradshaw, Jr., and wife Denise of Rotterdam, Betsy Glasser and husband Anthony of Rotterdam, Debra Fisher of Rotterdam, Michael Bradshaw and wife Nancy of Saratoga and she was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Allen Butterfield who passed away in 2016. She was also preceded in death by a son in law, David Butterfield in 2017. Also surviving are her numerous cherished grandchildren, Kristen, Michele and Howard, Sharon, Jason, Brittany, Ed, Matthew and Jordan, Addison and Julia, Michael, Jennifer, Rachael and many adored great grandchildren. Ann is also survived by her sister, Vivian Shoemaker, and she was predeceased by her siblings, Rose Adamec, Ralph Cimino, Steve Cimino, Joe Cimino, John Cimino, Madeline Mercadante and Mary Fahey. The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, October 16, 2022 from 3-6 pm at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. Members of the St. Gabriel's Woman Society will pay their respects at 4 pm on Sunday at the funeral home. Ann's funeral will commence at 10:30 am on Monday morning, Oct. 17th from the funeral home where prayer will be offered and at 11 am at St. Gabriel The Archangel Church, 3040 Hamburg St., Schenectady with the Very Rev. James Belogi, pastor, celebrating her Mass of Christian Burial. Procession will follow to St.'s Cyril and Method Cemetery, Rotterdam where Ann will be laid to rest alongside her late husband.
