Rotterdam – Angelo M. Benardo, 70, passed away Sunday December 3, 2017. Born in Schenectady on March 22, 1947 to Angelo M. Benardo Sr. and Mary Mango. He attended Schenectady Schools. Angelo worked hard and provided for his family. He was employed by the Golub Corporation. Angelo’s passions included NASCAR (especially Jimmy Johnson), water skiing, camping and equestrian sports. His greatest passion was spending time with his family. He was the life of the party always cracking a joke and making others laugh. His loving wife of many years, Francine T. Bailey Benardo, passed away in 1997. He is survived by his four children; Loryanne (Alicia) Bailey-David, Tammy (Christopher) Starr, Angelo (Megan) Benardo III and Cindy Dashiell. His grandchildren; Michael (James), Jessica, Theresa Francine, Anthony, Amanda (Andrew), Ashley (Evan), Emily, Joshua, Ashley (Daniel) and Kyle. His great grandson; Bradley. His “Special Sisters”; Rusty and Kathy (Frank). His “Special Brother”; Randy (Nanette). Angelo is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Along with his wife and parents Angelo was predeceased by his beloved parents-in-law, Tony and Gertrude Mauro; His four brothers; Tony, Pat, John and Louie. His brother-in-law, Richard. A service, to which relatives and friends are invited, will be held 11 am Wednesday at St. Cyril’s Cemetery Mausoleum, Rt. 7 (Duanesburg Rd.), Rotterdam.
