Rotterdam – Angelina Dorothy Vroman, 95, passed away at her home on Tuesday, August 2nd, 2022. A lifelong area resident, Angelina was born in Schenectady to her parents, the late Anthony and Josephine Catalano. She was a graduate of Nott Terrace High School. After marrying her husband, Edward Vroman and raising 4 children, Angelina went to work as a waitress at a family friend’s restaurant, Joe’s Pizza. She enjoyed travelling, whether it was her yearly trips to Florida or bus trips with her friends. You could always find Angelina on her daily walks at Rotterdam Square mall or watching her evening programs, specifically her favorite, Everybody Loves Raymond. She also enjoyed dancing and chatting with her cute doctors. She loved country music, especially Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton. Besides her parents, Angelina was predeceased by her husband, Edward Vroman in 1977, and her longtime partner, Louis DeGeorgio in 2018 in addition to her siblings, Josephine Zannitto, Sam Catalano, Gloria Meyers, Angelo Catalano, Ralph Catalano and Josie Catalano. She leaves behind her devoted children, David Vroman (Joann), Diane Vroman Cellupica, Debra Grimes (John) and Denise Vermette (Tim), as well as 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A calling hour will take place on Tuesday from 10-11am at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Avenue in Rotterdam. Funeral services will begin at 11am followed by burial at Schenectady Memorial Park. Memorial contributions in Angelina’s name may be made to The Community Hospice, 310 S.
