Andrew J Furman

Niskayuna – Andy “Quick” Furman, 65, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday March 12, 2023. Born in Niskayuna he was the son of Andrew and Patricia (Brault) Furman. For many years Andy worked at Menands Classic Cars specializing in autobody repair. You could find Andy at local drag races and attending Rottweiler shows with his wife Tami (“Mrs. Quick”). He will also be remembered for his love of NASCAR and the New York Jets & Knicks. He is survived by his wife Tami DePalma Furman. His daughter Shelby Lynn (Andrew) Foster and his granddaughter Juliana Foster. His sister-in-law Muriel Furman and nieces Melody Kot and Harmony Furman. His mother Patricia Bryan and siblings Kathy Suarez, Marcia Parker and Lewis Parker. Andy is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Along with his father he was predeceased by his brothers Michael Furman and Leon Bradley. Calling hours will be held Monday from 4-6 pm at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. A 6 pm memorial service will immediately follow. The family kindly requests that flowers not be sent and memorial contributions be made in Andy’s memory to the Mountain Rottie Rescue at mountainrottierescue.net
