Amelia M (Drezelo) Marlow

Guilderland – Amelia M. Marlow, 87, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 10, 2017 at Glendale Nursing Home. Born in Berne, NY, Amelia was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Drezelo. Amelia was a homemaker, later attending Maria College and working as a teacher’s aide at Guilderland High School. Amelia took great pride raising in her prize-winning flowers, and her devotion in helping with the religious activities at La Salette Shrine and the Teresian House. Amelia is predeceased by her beloved husband, Roland Marlow, her son, John Marlow, her brother, Jim Drezelo and her sisters, Gertrude Best and Rose Summers. Left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, Stephen Marlow (Lydia) and Mike Marlow, grandchildren, Paul Marlow, Roland Marlow, Aaron Marlow (Sara), Sarah Lussier (Bryan), Amy Macoy (Tom) and Megan Rowland (Adam) as well as her 3 brothers, Stanley Drezelo (Carol), Joe Drezelo, and Paul Drezelo (Kay). A visitation will be held on Monday, April 17th from 9-10:45am at Christ the King Parish, 20 Sumpter Ave. in Guilderland. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11am immediately following the visitation. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Altamont. Amelia’s family would like to thank the staff at Glendale Nursing Home, Mohawk Trails Unit for their compassionate care that they gave to her.
