Schenectady- Alice Cipriano, 89, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2017 surrounded by her beloved family. She was born in Schenectady on February 25, 1928, a daughter of the late John and Hedwig Schier. Alice was high school graduate of Nott Terrace High School. She married her beloved husband, Albert Cipriano in 1947. For many years, Alice and her husband owned and operated Cipriano’s Paint Store where she was the interior designer. She had also had been employed at The Carl Company and Jordan March. She was an avid Boston Redsox Fan and also enjoyed making ceramics. Alice was a communicant of St. Paul the Apostle Church since 1952. Alice is survived by her beloved husband of 70 years, Albert, their children ; Thomas Cipriano, Evelyn Zahn, Brian Cipriano, 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and 1 brother. She was preceased by4 sisters and 3 brothers. Family and friends are invited to call at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam on Thursday, July 20, 2017 from 5 pm to 7 pm. Funeral services will begin on Friday at 8:15 am at the funeral home on Friday, July 21, 2017 . Immediately following a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 am at St. Paul the Apostle Church, Kings Road and Albany Street, Schenectady. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens, Colonie .
