Alexandria A. Tamburello

FRAMINGHAM, MA -  Alexandria Ashkar Tamburello 98, of Framingham, MA, a beloved aunt, great aunt and great great aunt passed away peacefully at St. Patrick’s Manor, on Sunday, January 5, 2025.

She was born on November 4, 1926 in North Adams, MA. After graduating from Drury Senior High School she went on to work in the family business, A. Ashkar Sales Company as a bookkeeper and office manager until 1986 when the business was sold.   She married her beloved Tony in 1977 and moved to Schenectady, NY where they both were active volunteers for both the American Diabetes Association and St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

She was predeceased in death by her parents Zekie and Bechara Ashkar, her three brothers, Ayoob, Shoal and David Ashkar and her husband Anthony R.Tamburello.

She is survived by her loving nieces, Carol Noble (Davis), Cindee Ashkar (Thomas Hartmann), Caren Ashkar (John Cracchiola), Patricia Sanfillipo (late Ron) and her nephew Richard Ashkar (Rose Johansen).  In addition, she is survived by a niece and several nephews through marriage and many great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces and great great nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, January 13, 2025 at St Edward The Confessor Church in Clifton Park, NY. Burial will be immediately following at Saint Joseph Cemetery, Schenectady, NY followed by lunch at Delmonico’s Italian Steakhouse, 3 Northside Drive, Clifton Park.

Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours prior to the Mass from 9 am to10:15 am at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam, NY

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital in memory of Alexandria Ashkar Tamburello. Donations may be made on-line or  mailed to 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
