Albina 'Bea' Valachovic

Rotterdam- Albina 'Bea' Valachovic, 94, at rest, Sunday, September 16, 2012 Bea was born in Schenectady, the daughter of the late Julius and Sarah Sarnowski. She was a graduate of Nott Terrace High School. A homemaker, Bea enjoyed spending time with her family and was very active in St. Gabriel's Church. Bea was the beloved wife of 54 years to the late John Paul Valachovic (1994); beloved mother of John (Bonnie) Valachovic of Johnstown, Richard (Barbara ) Valachovic of Guilderland and the late David Valachovic; loving grandmother of Jeffrey Valachovic of Schenectady, John (Christine) Valachovic of Berne, Amy (Joseph) Mulyca of Caroga Lake, Emily (Wesley) Cox, Christian (Julie) Oare, Patrick Oare; all of Johnstown. Loving great grandmother of Travis and Jack Mulyca, Wyatt Cox, Zane, Jake and Luke Valachovic; beloved mother- in- law of Ruth Valachovic of Plattsburgh. A calling period will be held Thursday, September 20 from 9 to 10am at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Avenue, Rotterdam, Those in attendance may follow in procession for a 10:30 am Mass of Christian Burial at the Church of St. Gabriel, 3400 Hamburg St., Rotterdam. Burial will follow in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna. Contributions in Bea's memory may be made to the charity of one's choice.
