Albert E Raymond Jr

Albert E. Raymond Jr. of Rotterdam, NY passed peacefully March 14, 2014 at home, surrounded by his family. He was born April 9, 1931 and raised in West Edmeston, NY. Albert graduated from Duanesburg High School, and was employed by the GE Research Lab, Lakeview Dairy, Sealtest Dairy, John Hancock Insurance, and the NYS Thruway Authority prior to retiring in 1997. He served honorably for 18 years with the 109th Air National Guard, traveling the world to places like Hawaii, Greenland, and the Azores. Albert was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish, and was proud of his lifetime membership with the Bethlehem Sportsman's Club.He was also a longtime member of the Rotterdam Elks and the Air National Guard Alumni Association. Albert is survived by his wife of 58 years; Teresa Renna Raymond of Rotterdam, NY, three children; Hon. Albert E. (Lisa) Raymond III of East Berne, NY, Alesa (Gene) Hughto of Guilderland, NY, and Frank J. Raymond of Duanesburg, NY, four grandchildren; Sarah M. and Alisa N. Raymond of East Berne, NY, Michelle T. Raymond of Eagle, CO, and Joseph (Coral) Hughto of Amherst, MA, and many nieces and nephews that he cherished. Albert was also survived by two sisters; Frances Fazzone of Panama City, FLA, Carol (John) Adams of Duanesburg, NY, and was predeceased by his sister Joan O'Neill of Wells, NY. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 4-7 pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. Family and friends are also invited to gather on Monday between 10 and 11 am.Funeral services will begin at 11am at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
