Albert P.Radzewicz, 91, of Guilderland passed away on Friday, March 22, 2013 at Van Rensselaer Manor in Troy. Born in Frackville, PA, Albert was the son of the late John and Agnes Yasuolinas Radzewicz. As a young man, Albert worked in the coal mines. He joined the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1937 and enlisted with the United States Army in 1943. Albert served with the 11th Airborne in the Pacific and was awarded a purple heart. He was honorably discharged in 1945 with the rank of Staff Sergeant. In 1951, Albert purchased a farm in Guilderland which he ran with his sons. In 1968, they also opened a tire service at the same location. In addition to his parents, Albert was also predeceased by his wife Ruth Knaggs Radzewicz, his son, Victor Radzewicz, his brother Victor, and 6 sisters; Agnes, Anna, Helen, Julie, Mary and Tillie. He is survived by three children; Paul Radzewicz and his wife Karen of Guilderland, Lois Teschka and her husband Richard of Delanson and Ruthann Smith and her husband Bryan of New Berlin, eight grandchildren; Sandra, Carl, Doug, Brian, Laura, Amanda, Daryl and Sarah, four great grandchildren; Grant, Lucas, Victor and Maggi,and many nieces and nephews. Services are private. Burial, with Military Honors, will be at Schenectady Memorial Park Cemetery, Rotterdam.
