ROTTERDAM- Albert J. Novak, 97, of Rotterdam, a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, January 4, 2025. He was surrounded by his loving wife.
He was born on April 14, 1927 in Amsterdam, New York. He worked for Coca Cola for his entire career retiring in the early 1990’s. He was an avid NASCAR fan with his favorite drivers being Dale Earnhardt Sr as well as Kyle Busch.
He was predeceased in death by his parents Albert and Frances Pajura Novak. Two brothers Anthony and Andrew Novak, two sisters Sophie Sarawak and Ann Moskal.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 69 years, Shirley (Jacobs) Novak; three children, Albert Joseph Jr (late Tina), Steven (Amy) and Kenneth (Shari); seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Albert Joseph lll, Nathan (Adrian), Evan (Elizabeth), Ryan (Alisha), Kyle (Rosie), and Tyler (Kalli); 4 great grandchildren Alivia, Kacey, Charlotte and Landon; and two sisters Frances (late Edward) Czelusniak and Marcy (late Robert) Korona.
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Friday, January 10th, 2025 from 4-6pm at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. Graveside services on Saturday, January 11th, 2025 at 10:15am at St. Adalbert's Cemetery 2800 Hamburg Street, Schenectady NY. Reception following at Canalis Restaurant 126 Mariaville Road, Schenectady.
The family would like to thank his three caregivers Milena Costantini, Victoria Costantini and Maria DiMeo, as well as Community Hospice.
In lieu of flowers donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital In memory of Albert Joseph Novak.
