Albert E. Ferradino Jr.

June 28, 1939 — October 29, 2023

Rotterdam - Albert E. Ferradino, Jr., 84, passed away peacefully in Alpharetta, GA, on October 29, surrounded by his wife and daughters. Albert was born on June 28, 1939, in Schenectady, NY, to Rose (Carafano) and Albert Ferradino, Sr. A graduate of Mont Pleasant High School, Hudson Valley Community College, and the College of Saint Rose, Al began his 60-year career as a draftsman with Schenectady Steel and eventually established his own firm.

In 1968, Albert married Maureen Donovan and spent the next 55 years raising their daughters Cecilia, Maura (Shorkey), and Stephanie (DiBacco). Al is also the proud grandfather to Orlando, Grace, Thomas, Avery and Luke.

Al was an extrovert with a wonderful sense of humor. He would always step up when needed, whether it was keeping score at a softball game or joining parent organizations at his daughters’ schools. He was also a member and former President of the Lions Club and an active member of his church, often reading at Mass and serving on committees. Al enjoyed cooking, sports, aviation, and photography.

Albert will be deeply missed by family and friends but leaves a legacy of kindness, compassion, devotion, and faith.

An hour of visitation will be held Wednesday November 22 from 9-10 am at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam.

A 10:30 am Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. Madeleine Sophie Church 3500 Carman Rd., Guilderland.

Burial will take place at Sts. Cyril & Method Cemetery, Rotterdam.
