Rotterdam - Adrienne O’Hare, age 87, passed away peacefully at UF Health, Flagler Hospital in Saint Augustine, Florida on May 12th, 2026. She was surrounded by her family. Adrienne was born in Schenectady on January 14th, 1939. She was the daughter of the late Alexander and Ethel (nee. Lasko) Oros. She married her high school sweetheart, John (Jack) O’Hare, on April 11, 1959, with whom she shared 67 wonderful years of love. Adrienne graduated from Draper High School, and continued her education at the iconic Katharine Gibbs School of New York City, known for its elite secretarial training. She had a career working in banking and education, culminating in a role supporting the Superintendent of Schools within the Mohonasen Central School District.
Adrienne loved to travel and visited many different places in her lifetime: Maine, Florida, Colorado, California (Los Angeles, San Francisco, Napa, Santa Barbara), Seattle, Las Vegas, Vancouver and Ireland. She did all this with her partner in life, her Jack.
Adrienne loved the beach; watching the red-winged Blackbirds announce the coming of Spring after a cold Schenectady winter; her time spent in Florida; and especially, her time spent with family. She especially loved raising her children on the family farm, where she planted her flower garden every Spring.
Adrienne is survived by her husband, John, daughter Kelly (Kevin) Rowell, son John (Mingmei) O’Hare, daughter Shannon Finney, son Dan (Deanna) O’Hare; grand-daughters Julia, Emily and Brigid; grand-sons Tyler, Brandon, Colin and Liam; great-granddaughter Aubrey; and sister Leslie (William) Lindenman, among other extended family.
A Mass of Christian Burial, to which relatives and friends are invited, will be celebrated 11 am Wednesday May 27th at St. Madeleine Sophie Church 3500 Carman Rd., Guilderland.
Burial will follow at Sts. Cyril & Method cemetery, Rotterdam
