Adeline Mary (Santabarbara) Morrett

Schenectady - Adeline Mary Morrett, 101, peacefully entered into the arms of our Lord on Thursday evening June 11, 2015 at her home. Adeline was born in Mechanicville on October 22, 1913. She was one of nine children born to the late Luigi and Anna Maria Santabarbara.She worked for General Electric where she met and married her late husband James, a machinist at General Electric. They were married for over 60 years. She also worked as a Vault Attendant for Off Track Betting from 1973 to 1983.Adeline has lived in Schenectady for more than 80 years.Besides her husband she was also predeceased by her son, Leibert, her grandson, Mark and her siblings Pauline, Concetta, Anne, Chester, Salvadore and Andrew. She is survived by her sisters Rose Cinquino and Angeline Pagnotta, her grandchildren Mike (Lois) and Michele and her great-grandchildren Eric and Cheryl. Also surviving is her sister-in-law, Mary Morrett and her daughter-in-law Dolores and several nieces and nephews. Adeline loved helping and caring for others. She was a caregiver for her parents and many of her brothers and sisters during times of illness. She was a generous soul and will be sadly missed by all. Special thanks to her best friend, Ron King, and his family for their help during her illness. Funeral services will begin on Monday, 8:45 from the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Our Lady Queen of Peace on Monday at 9:30 am, with Father Vincent Ciotoli officiating, at 210 Princetown Road, Schenectady, NY. Interment will be in St's Cyril and Method Cemetery. Calling hours for family and friends will be held Sunday from 4 to 6 pm at DeMarco Stone Funeral Home at 1605 Helderberg Ave, Rotterdam, NY.
