Mariaville- Adele Milbank Smith, daughter of James Earl Milbank and Mildred Sexton Milbank, beloved wife of pre-deceased husband Gerald “Jerry” Smith, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2018 in Myrtle Beach, SC at the age of 84. Adele was a graduate of Nott Terrace High School. She was a florist and later worked as a Head Bank Teller. She enjoyed the outdoors, hiking, camping, traveling, knitting, gardening, and reading. Adele volunteered as Homeroom Mother and chaperoned many school trips. Everyone was always welcomed into Adele and Jerry’s home with a home cooked meal, conversation, and laughs. She always decorated the home with fresh flower arrangements inside and beautiful park-like gardens outdoors. She volunteered at Proctors in the gift shop. She was always willing to help anyone in need. Adele was dearly loved and will truly be missed. She is survived by her children, Karen Smith (Dave Stillwell), Sharon (Bill) Butterfield, Wayne Smith (Sue Burch); grandchildren, Amy (Tommy) Polito, Wendy (Kris) Spezza, Chase Burch, Dane Burch (Renee Stoller), and Derek Stillwell (Jessica); great-grandchildren, Logan Butterfield, Justina Spezza, Rose and Kim Burch, and Vincent Stillwell; her cousin, Floyd Milbank (Isabelle).
