Schenectady - Ada Camille Tiberio Salamone, born October 31, 1923 in Schenectady, NY died after a short illness on December 14, 2017 in Schenectady, NY, surrounded by members of her loving family. Ada was the ï¬�rst born of Antoinette and Dominic Tiberio. Ada married her high school sweetheart Frank J. Salamone in 1943. She was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School and Paine Hall in New York City. An intelligent and motivated woman, Ada excelled in everything managing medical and dental ofï¬�ces. At home she was a caring and loving mother, excellent cook, accomplished seamstress and consummate hostess to family and friends. She and Frank spent 10 of Frank’s ï¬�nal work years in Spain. They traveled extensively throughout the world during this period before they retired to Vero Beach, Florida, returning to Schenectady in 2013. Ada was deeply religious, her strong faith was her internal guide throughout her life and helped her to experience a very peaceful death. She is survived by her three children, Thomas (Joyce), Mary Jane Tyler (Richard) and Frank Jr. (Marilyn), her sister Irma DeMarco, eight grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank, parents, sister Lena Kaba and brother Philip Tiberio. Calling hours will be held Monday, December 18th from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday December 19th at Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church, 1803 Union Street, Schenectady, New York. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a memorial donation to The Community Hospice, 295 Valley View Blvd., Rensselear, NY 12144 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
