Lois D (Lloyd) Urda

Duanesburg - Lois Diana Urda was born on January 16, 1937 in Atlantic City, NJ to Shirley and Agnes Lloyd. She passed away on October 4th, 2017. She graduated from St Augustine in Lansingburg, NY and from Mildred Elly School. Lois was the Secretary for the VP of International Sales of Norton International in Troy, NY. She loved to ski and was the secretary of the Uncle Sam Ski club. She was a member of the Niskayuna Garden Club and The Greenhouse and Indoor Plant Association and Co-Chaired two plant shows that benefited the Schenectady Museum. She loved her flower gardens. She was also a member of the Capital District Hunter/Jumper Council and The Old Chatham Hunt Club. Lois loved constructing Tiffany Style Lamp Shades and donating her creations for auction of charitable events. She loved golf and was a member of both Mohawk and Columbia Golf Clubs. Lois loved her Border Collies and trained and titled them in Competition Obedience and Herding, while being a member of Albany Obedience Club and NEBCA. She is survived by her husband, Walter Urda of 57 years, her daughter, Meryl Urda Winnie and son in law, Paul Winnie. Memorial services will be private.
