Eleanor Rejack of Schenectady, NY, passed away peacefully at Ellis Hospital on December 25, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 13, 1930 to the late Frank Brua and Amelia DeSorbo. A graduate of Nott Terrace High School, she was employed by Schatz Stationary for over 30 years. Eleanor was a devoted parishioner of St. Luke’s Church and, in recent years, an enthusiastic participant of activities at the Niskayuna Senior Center.
In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by Donald Rejack, her husband of 57 years, her eldest son Peter Rejack, sisters, Mary and Jeanne and her brother James.
Eleanor is survived by her sister, Joyce Brua, sons Jeffrey (Lauren) Rejack, Michael (Cynthia) Rejack and Mark ( Bobbie) Rejack, daughter in law Michele Rejack, six grandchildren, Scott (Kristen), Brian (Josette), Nicholas (Chelsea), Emily (Rick), Andrew (Colleena) and Noah, her brother in law, David, sister in law Joann, three great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and many cherished friends. Also, her nephew Raymond and his wife Christine, who were especially important to her.
Family was everything to Eleanor, and her dear friends were always treated like part of the extended family. She was happiest when surrounded by any or all of them, and they all felt the same way about her. She will truly be missed, but never gone as she lives in our hearts forever.
