Clifton Park – Donald J. DeLuccia, 100, passed away Wednesday May 31, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on May 26, 1917 in Schenectady the eldest son of the late Vincent and Constance DeMarco DeLuccia.

Don was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School and the Mont Pleasant Technical Electrical Course.

He was a retiree of Niagara Mohawk where he served as the Northern Area of New York State Superintendent.

Don was married to the former Mary Capritta on September 7, 1941. They enjoyed 72 years of marriage until her death on November 8, 2013.

Predeceased by his daughter, Janet Hladik, Granddaughter, Andrea Sinibaldi, Great Grandson, Ryan James McCormick and brothers, Frank and Anthony DeLuccia.

Don is survived by his daughter, Connie (James) McCormick, Clifton Park, NY and son, Robert ( Lauren) DeLuccia, Clifton Park, NY.  Brothers, Peter and Richard DeLuccia.  Loving grandfather to James R. (Danielle) McCormick, Justina (Michael) Perriello, Craig DeLuccia, Katrina (Sean) Tierney, Joseph (Beth) Hladik.  Great Grandfather to Ashley, Amanda, Olivia and Emiley McCormick, Anthony Perriello, Aiden Tierney, Lilianna Hladik,  Larry J, Krista and Kayla Sinibaldi.  


Family and friends are invited to call at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church 569 Clifton Park Center Road Clifton Park NY on Tuesday June 6, 2017 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. Immediately following a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am. Interment will follow at St. Cyril’s Cemetery Duanesburg Road  (Route7) Rotterdam.

Memorial donations may be made to Saint Edwards the Confessor Church, 569 Clifton Park Center Rd., Clifton Park, NY 12065 or the Ronald McDonald House, 139 Lake Ave., Albany, NY 12208 in memory of Ryan J. McCormick.
