Rotterdam – Carol Esther Woodcock, age 82, passed away early on Thursday morning, February 8th, 2018.
A lifelong area resident, Carol was born in Scotia, the daughter of the late Fred and Esther (Bouck) Habel.
For many years Carol worked for the Golub Corporation in the accounting department.
Carol enjoyed crocheting, reading and cuddling her faithful companion, Freeway, in her lap. She loved to travel with her good friend Sharon and enjoyed their Saturday afternoon dinners out with one good drink. In recent years she had reconnected with some former high school friends and looked forward to their monthly get togethers. Last, but by no means least, she will always be thankful for her loving cousin, Evelyn (Tootie) Johnson, for being her long time hairdresser and always making her look spectacular.
Carol was predeceased in 1994 by her husband of 40 years, Harry N. Woodcock.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Kathleen A. Keough (Kenneth Martin) of Cohoes, her grandchildren, Patrick B. Keough (Susan) and Julie E. Bouck (Brian) as well as her great grandchildren, Gavin and Brady Keough and Addison Bouck.
A visitation will be held on Monday, February 12th from 6-7pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Avenue in Rotterdam. Funeral services will begin at 7pm. Inurnment will take place in the springtime at Park Cemetery in Scotia.
